Overview
Synode is a Bitcoin Core full node operated as a bridge between transports. It keeps peers on clearnet, Tor and I2P simultaneously and relays blocks and transactions across all four.
Most reachable nodes speak a single transport, and nearly all of them are clearnet-only. Tor and I2P depend on the small set of multi-homed peers that carry data between networks. Without them, those networks drift toward partitions of their own.
No company behind it. One operator, spare hardware, time. Two numbers matter: uptime, and the number of networks connected.
The node serves BIP 157/158 compact block filters to light clients on every transport it listens on. Point a Neutrino wallet at it and validate against a node you did not have to run yourself.
